A Walk to Beautiful
Engel Entertainment produced this award-winning documentary about five Ethiopian women whose lives have been devastated by fistula and embark on a journey to reclaim their lost dignity.  Full length 85 minute version available for purchase by individuals and institutions, 58 minute NOVA special also available for purchase.

Fistula Worldwide: The Hidden Epidemic.  This 10-minute video was produced by Engel Entertainment alongside A Walk to Beautiful as an outreach and advocacy tour.  It provides an overview of fistula at a global level.  Included in special features on both DVD copies, also available upon request from Engel Entertainment.

Love, Labor, Loss
Governess films produced this 15-minute advocacy video about fistula in Niger.  The video is available upon request in DVD format to NGOs and community groups to help raise awareness and funds for fistula.  The trailer is currently available on You Tube.

Learn from My Story: Women Confront Fistula in Rural Uganda (4:20)
In 2007, EngenderHealth partnered with the Center for Digital Storytelling and St. Joseph’s Hospital in Uganda to coordinate a workshop for Ugandan women who have experienced obstetric fistula.  During the workshop, the women shared their stories through narration, video, and pictures to illustrate in their lives, resulting in this multimedia piece to share their stories.

UNFPA Advocacy Videos

This short “commercial” style clip is available on You Tube, based on the theme “Obstetric fistula is hard to talk about.”  A good introduction to fistula or discussion starter on what can be difficult things to talk about.
